Description: SCPA is a Not for Profit professional association comprised of those individuals residing in SC or out of SC who uphold a shared mission (see stated mission). SCPA is an approved co-sponsor with APA and therefore promotes professional development through Continuing Education workshops for which participants receive licensing credits.
Mission/Aims: The purpose of this Association is to:
Advance Psychology as a science, profession & a means of promoting human welfare;
Foster & maintain high standards of practice, teaching, and research in the field of psychology;
Make available to the public information regarding psychology as a science & a profession.
Principal Activities: Continuing education workshops, annual spring conference, opportunities for networking and discourse among peers in the field of psychology, Academic Day hosts 10 area colleges' psych students for a day of seminars and competition
