Description:

A national organisation which provides a central register of qualified practitioners for the Hypnotherapy profession.

Mission/Aims:

For the maintence of good practice, the promotion of unity and the encouragement of continuing development within the profession of Hypnotherapy.

Principal Activities:

Maintain an independent Register of Hypnotherapists.
Provide information on all matters of relevance to practising Hypnotherapists.
Provide unbiased information on training within the field to prospective students.
Provide advice on all aspects of Hypnotherapy to the public, the media and all other interested parties.
Provide opportunities for and the monitoring of, supervision and continuing professional development (CPD) resources for practising therapists.

Verification Criteria:

Generally, training at a certified school. Asking about diplomas/certificates is often pointless as there are so many in common useage that the field is often far too complex for a member of the public to digest.
