The Ontario Association for Marriage and Family Therapy is a division of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, an international professional association established in 1942. Activities and membership are dedicated to the promotion of the profession of marriage and family therapy and the advancement of practices and principles which enhance individual and family well-being.

Mission/Aims:

To provide infomration about the role of Marriage and Family Therapy in healing relationships, personal growth and total health care.

Principal Activities:

To promote healthy relationships through education, publications, conferences and advocacy.
To support legislative initiatives that focus on the regulation and recognition of marital and family therapy as a separate and distinct profession.
