Description: Non profit association with four sub chapters serving members in New South Wales. Keeping them informed of industry changes and benefits and acting as a voice in the industry with regard to promotion through government.
Mission/Aims: To provide a voice in NSW for the counselling profession for members of the Association, to support the self regulation of the Counselling Industry through membership and having all counsellors to come under a code of ethics.
Principal Activities: Support to counsellors in NSW by providing ongoing supervision and professional development workshop bi monthly. To continue to lobby for Provider No.s by Medical Funds and increase the awareness of the public of the professional services that counsellors provide.
Member Benefits: To be linked with an association that provides a Code of Ethics.
To be given access to other counsellors.
Training/Licensing/Certification: Full one day workshops twice yearly.
