The National Board for Certified Counselors is the nation's premiere professional certification board devoted to credentialing counselors who meet standards for the general and specialty practices of professional counseling.

Mission/Aims:

NBCC provides a national certification system for professional counselors, identifies those counselors who have obtained certification, and maintains a registry of those counselors. Its chief focus is to promote quality counseling through certification.
