Description:

The VPHA represents all veterinarians working within the field of veterinary public health: improving human health through the application of science based veterinary expertise.

Mission/Aims:

To further the advancement of veterinary public health (VPH).
To improve liaison between all professions involved in public health.
To encourage and assess new methods in VPH.
To represent the profession nationally and internationally in the field of VPH and animal welfare.
To organise and assess Continued Professional Development in the field of VPH.

Principal Activities:

Meat hygiene, food hygiene, food safety, animal welfare protection, enforcement and disease surveillance.

Member Benefits:

The Association provides CPD, training, information, assistance, representation and lobbying on behalf of members.

Two scientific meetings are delivered in Spring and Autumn.
