Description:

The New Zealand Veterinary Association (NZVA) is an incorporated society formed in 1923 to represent, provide service and promote standards for, and on behalf of, veterinarians.

Mission/Aims:

To promote excellence in the veterinary profession through service to and on behalf of members.

Principal Activities:

The Association is at the forefront of all issues involving or affecting the veterinary profession, animal health and welfare. It plays an important role at the interface between regulatory authorities and industry in matters of animal health, welfare and production, animal remedies, biosecurity, food safety and general veterinary matters.
