Description: South African Dental Association (SADA) is a professional association for dentists primarily in Southern Africa. At present almost 80% of dentists registered in SA are members. The association is registered as an independent, non-profit, section 21 company.
Mission/Aims: SADA will vigorously promote the interests and rights of its members in their committment to providing optimal oral health care of the highest ethical and professional standards.
Principal Activities: Continuing Education - the SA Dental journal provides an excellent forum for publication of clinical and scientific articles. SADA organises and participates in continuing education workshops, congresses, seminars and lectures. Monthly DSTV educational dental programmes.

Verification Criteria: The Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) keeps a registered listing of qualified dentists in SA. They are the statutory body. If the dentist name appears on the HPCSA list they are a Qualified Professional.
