Description: NIA is one of the three recognised governing bodies for the accounting profession in Australia with strong alliances reaching into the national and international business sectors, State and Federal Governments in Australia as well as the public and private sector.
Mission/Aims: One of the many reasons NIA members are sought after in the profession is because of the organisation's pervading culture of 'Personal, Professional, Successful'. The NIA's mission is create the competitive edge for business and accounting professionals while at the same time providing the recognition and support members need to be successful.
Principal Activities: The NIA provides ‘thought leadership‘ in addressing issues affecting the accounting profession and is well positioned in its work with national and international standard setters to ensure NIA members are fully represented and fully informed.
