Description: The National Society of Tax Professionals (NSTP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the Tax Professional. NSTP was founded in 1985 with the goal of organizing the Nation's Tax Professionals, helping them to achieve a standard of recognition that was long overdue.
NSTP serves all areas of the Tax Profession, including Certified Public Accountants, Tax Attorneys, Enrolled Agents, Financial Planners and Professional Tax Practitioners/Accountants.
Mission/Aims: To be of service to the Tax Profession offering goods and services, education, assistance with tax information and networking opportunities.

Verification Criteria: Tax professionals possess a varying degree of education and experience. The public should always inquire as to the experience of the tax professional; asking about fees and timeliness of work product.
All NSTP members are bound to a Professional Code of Ethical Conduct.
