Provides credentials for qualified personal financial advisors, and support them with practice management, education, communication and marketing services.

The IARFC administers a five course curriculum in personal financial planning, centered around the process of planning and including the preparation of both modular and comprehensive personal financial plans.

Mission/Aims:

Supporting financial professionals who help the public spend, save, invest, insure and plan for the future.

Principal Activities:

Education and continued practice management support for personal financial advisors; establishing and operating professional education and licensing schools - generally in cooperation with local universities.

Training/Licensing/Certification:

We grant several designations, principally that of Registered Financial Consultant (RFC) to qualified applicants based on seven criteria: education, examination, licensure, experience, business conduct, ethics and continuing education.

REP - Registered Education Planner
RSM - Registered Service Manager
RFM - Registered Financial Manager
FCA - Registered Clergy Advisor

Each designation program involves classes, examinations, readings, assignments and the requirement to perform tasks that are an integral part of each course.

All those who hold the RFC designation are listed on our website.

Additional Information:

We have provisions on our website for consumers to initiate a compliment, or a complaint. The association has a complaint investigation process, and those for whom the designation is removed will be made public.
