Description: The Montgomery Estate Planning Council is an association of attorneys, CPA's, CFP's, CLU's, ChFC's and trust officers who practice primarily in the area of estate planning.
Mission/Aims: The council was formed to provide a better understanding of estate planning and of the services that estate planners can render to the general public. Members of the council strive to promote cooperation among the various disciplines involved in estate planning and foster a better understanding of the proper relationship that each discipline bears to the other, their clients, and the general public.
Principal Activities: The council meets frequently to hear guest speakers and enjoy a meal together.
Member Benefits: Membership dues cover the cost of meals at each meeting and programs which consist of speakers on topics related to the estate planning field.
As a member of the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils (NAEPC), the members of the Montgomery Estate Planning Council receive access to Leimberg Information Services (LISI) free of charge in addition to discounts on publications, software, teleconferencing and other affinity programs offered through the NAEPC.
Training/Licensing/Certification: Members of the Montgomery Estate Planning Council are eligible to apply for the Accredited Estate Planner (AEP) and Estate Practice Law Specialist (EPLS) designation offered by the NAEPC.
