Description: ADCO is a professional non-profit organization that promotes the interests of independent private and non-profit licensed childcare programs in Ontario.
Mission/Aims: The Association of Day Care Operators of Ontario (ADCO) envisions an Ontario where families have a range of parental and non-parental child care and education choices with access to affordable, high quality child development services.
Principal Activities: To actively advocate as the collective voice for over 4,000 licensed child care programs and 170,000 children and families in Ontario.
To be responsive to current and emerging core societal and family values and needs.

Verification Criteria: Individual - Early Child Education Diploma - (2 years from a community college or equivalent)
Centre - displays a license to operate as a day nursery issued by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services (Ontario)
Additional Information: There are licensed and un-licensed child care programs in Ontario and we deal solely with the licensed sector.
