Description:

The Greater Washington Association of Teachers of Foreign Languages is an association of local colleagues (from DC, Maryland and Virginia) in foreign language education in grades K-12, university, adult, and continuing ed in all languages, classical and modern, commonly and less commonly taught.

Principal Activities:

Publisher of a packed semi-annual newsletter that keeps you informed of FL-related activities in the metropolitan area and provides teaching tips and materials.

Sponsor of an annual conference attended by hundreds of your colleagues, dozens of vendors, and including twenty or more presentations, as well as other occasional gatherings.

Sponsor of annual grants worth more than $1,000 for professional pursuits and awards for professional distinction.
