Description: NASH is a membership organization for certified and non-certified homeopaths, students and friends of homeopathy.
Mission/Aims: NASH is dedicated to promote, represent and serve as the voice of all professional homeopaths in North America. NASH aims to develop and uphold the highest level of excellence in homeopathic practice while enhancing the role of the homeopathic profession as an integral part of health care delivery.
Principal Activities: NASH has developed the following goals to support its mission:
Legitimize homeopathy as a profession through a strong political voice;
Gain acceptance of homeopathy in the health care system;
Establish credibility of registered homeopaths as professionals who contribute to the public health;
Develop professional support programs for registered homeopaths.
Member Benefits: Registration entitles members to use the RSHom (NA) designation, appear in the online and published directories, have access to the legal defense fund and have full voting rights.
Verification Criteria: NASH has over 135 registered members who carry the RSHom (NA) designation, the internationally respected title which shows they are registered with the Society of Homeopaths, North America. This designation signifies those members who have met the highest standards of competency for the practice of classical homeopathy, as set forth by the Council for Homeopathic Certification (CHC), the standard-bearer for national certification.
Additional Information: Registered membership is open to qualified homeopaths who meet NASH standards. To become a registered member, we require members to certify themselves through the certification process of the CHC. Although it isn't a legal requirement, this process allows us to promote our registered members who have proven to have high standards of homeopathic practice.
