A professional organisation representing fully qualified, trained and insured practitoners of Acupuncture, TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), Chinese Herbal Medicine and Medical Qigong in Ireland.

Mission/Aims:

To promote best practice in all professional fields of Traditional Chinese Medicine; to encourage members to strive for "Superior Practitioner" status and thus safeguard and enhance the health and well being of their clients.

Principal Activities:

Provision of an updated Directory of Practitoners available free to the public.

Promotion of TCM via our website, publications and, Associated College - the Irish College of TCM and provision of Continuing Professional Development training for members.

The founder of the PRTCM is Professor Thomas J Shanahan, the Director of the Irish College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dublin, Ireland.

The PRTCM was the first professional organisation in Ireland to represent members practitising the full range of Traditional Chinese Medical therapies.
